USA: Local 110 of RWDSU-UFCW reaches a successful four year deal with Quaker Oats/PepsiCo

IUF affiliated RWDSU-UFCW`s  Local 110 Quaker Oats/PepsiCo members recently and overwhelmingly approved a four-year deal that increased wages above the inflation rate and added a $650 lump sum bonus in the first and second year.

The newly negotiated contract increased vacation entitlements for new members who will now have access to 2 weeks' vacation in their first year. It further improved current members' vacation schedule to 4 weeks on completing 10 years (was 12 years) and 5 weeks for completing 18 years of service (previously 20 years).

Local 110 located in Cedar Rapids, IA, expects the Company to hire at least 100 new employees in the first year, following earlier job cuts.
