Tell Pepsi to commit to zero tolerance on land grabs!

Printer-friendly version

As the Coca-Cola Company vowed to cooperate with key sugar suppliers Tate & Lyle Sugars, Trapiche and Bunge to respect community land rights- notably in regard to sugar, other big food and beverage firms should follow Coca-Cola's lead.

The Coca-Cola Company has yet to prove that it is taking the right measures and implementations to stop land grabs. However this should not stop PepsiCo to also commit itself to zero tolerance on land grabs in regard to sugar along with soy and palm oil as one of the biggest purchaser of these crops. But up to this date PepsiCo hasn't committed yet.

You can email PepsiCo now to tell them to make sure their sugar doesn't lead to land grabs at www.behindthebrands.org.
