The IUF has welcomed the launch in the UK of the Campaign for Trade Union Freedom (CTUF). The campaign calls for positive industrial relations legislation to protect trade unions from legal attacks and allow them to operate democratically and protect members.
In a support letter [1], IUF General Secretary, Ron Oswald commented “The CTUF campaign highlights the urgent need both in the UK and globally to roll back the undermining of workers’ rights … We support your calls for laws which restore and extend collective bargaining, give workers the right to strike and to be represented by a union and engage in solidarity action with other workers fighting for their rights”.
